Ruth is a Clinical Psychologist, consultant, and former academic with over three decades of experience in human behaviour, systems, and change. Her background bridges academic research, clinical practice, and her lived experience—and she now works with people navigating life’s most human challenges: stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, addiction, identity shifts, and disconnection from self.

Blending Science, Data & Care
Personalised, Evidence-Based Therapy in Brisbane
At the heart of Ruth’s work is a simple belief: healing becomes possible when people understand what drives them—and then uses that knowledge to respond to life with greater clarity, choice, and connection rather than from habit or urgency.
Ruth works primarily with adults navigating stress, burnout, trauma, dependency / addiction, and life / identity transitions. Many of the people she supports are high-functioning and outwardly capable, yet internally feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck. Her approach is integrative, evidence-based, and whole-of-person, drawing on established psychological therapies alongside contemporary understanding of the nervous system.
Where available and helpful, Ruth offers clients the option of incorporating biometric insights—such as patterns in sleep, stress, and recovery—as an additional lens for understanding their internal world. Used thoughtfully, this information can support greater awareness and more compassionate self-care, rather than becoming another metric to “manage.”
Her work integrates compassion-focused and trauma-informed therapies (including EMDR, Schema Therapy, ACT, and IFS), nervous system-informed practice, and a calm, collaborative therapeutic space—often shared with Keeva, her therapy dog. Her work integrates:
Compassion-based, trauma-informed therapies (EMDR, Schema, ACT, CBT, DBT)

Our Therapy Dog (in Training)
Meet Keeva: Our Therapy Dog
We’re proud to offer Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) as part of our client support, with Keeva—our much-loved therapy dog—often joining sessions. Keeva is a six-year-old Husky–Samoyed cross (a Samusky), currently undergoing her formal AAT training and accreditation with Therapy Dogs Australia.
Her name comes from the Irish Gaelic Caoimhe, meaning “gentle, beautiful, precious”—a perfect fit for her nature. Known for her thick, fluffy coat, gentle temperament, and charming howl-greetings, Keeva brings warmth and calm to the therapeutic space. She helps demonstrate how the presence of a dog can reduce stress and support emotional regulation. Keeva is currently at the clinic on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.
